NoteBefore we start, Make sure you read this article carefully and follow the same steps, because it's the most important step in building your website, and also it's so complicated. A bit of mistake can result in messing things up very badly.

Now let's get started.

Connect Custom Domain with Blogger Website

Step #1

First of all, go to the official site of GoDaddy, from where you bought your domain name, and click your username which is most probably sorted on the top. Clicking your user name would open a pop-up menu where you will find the "my products" option under the "Accounts" tab. Click this option. You will be shown a whole list of the products you bought from this store, under the heading "products and services".

Step #2

Scroll down to the domain you bought for your website. You will see three buttons in front of the order description. The first one "set up" middle is "DNS" and the last one is "Manage".

You have to simply copy your domain name from here.

Step #3

Open your website in a new tab and go to the blogger setting.

You will find "publishing" by scrolling down, under this you will find the "custom domain" option. Click this option and paste your domain which you already have copied and type "www." before it. A dialogue box will be shown which may seem like an error but relax it's not. Leave it and head back to the GoDaddy page (in the previous tab).

Step #4

Now click the DNS button under your domain name (which I mentioned above) it will direct you to DNS settings.

Go back to your website. Copy the address from the dialogue box, after the word "destination" makes sure you copy the address without brackets. Head back to DNS settings on the domain settings page. Here you will see a list of settings select the option which starts with "CNAME" (it would be the 4th option in most cases) and click edit. 4 boxes would appear with headings "type" "name" "value" & "TTL" respectively.

Click the third (value) box, empty it and paste the address you copied from your site, and click save. You will see a setting update message.

Make sure you don't leave the other options as they are or you would mess things up.

Step #5

Head back to your website and copy another address from the dialogue box situated afterword "name" (without coma), and head back to the GoDaddy page. Select the 4th option in the domain setting which also starts with CNAME. You will be given the same options as before. This time edit the second box which says "name" and paste the address you copied.

Leave it here and head back to your site. Copy another address from the dialogue box, also situated afterword " destination". Head back to the domain settings and paste this address in the 3rd box under " value" after emptying it, and press save. Again you will see the DNS setting update message. Again don't mess up with anything else.

Head back to your site and click "save" under the dialogue box, it may take a few seconds.

Step #6

Now you go back in blogger setting. And enable the “redirect domain” button. Now in footer you will find the “HTTPS” settings, also enable it.

You will still see "status unknown" under "HTTPS availability" but don't panic. All you have to do is just grab some snacks and drinks, and take a 15-20 minute break, it will make your waiting period easier, because it takes some time in these types of technical updates.

After 30 minutes check your website (reload it).

Now you'll see "status available" under "HTTPS availability". This means your domain is successfully connected. Check the status by clicking view blog, below in the right corner. It will redirect you to your website. You can see that your domain is connected in the URL option.

Make sure you follow the same steps and don't do anything or click any option in your website settings or domain settings during the waiting period otherwise it would interrupt domain processing you things would get messy, which may cause a huge disaster and all your progress would go in wain even at some point you may lose your domain name also.
